When should l have my gas heater checked for carbon monoxide and a service completed?

A carbon monoxide test is completed during a service. Energysave Victoria, Victorian Building Authority and Flamin Good Gas Services recommend once every 1-2 years. Flamin Good Gas Services recommend installing a carbon monoxide alarm as a backup, between services.

Why does my gas space/wall heater pilot burn yellow?

Dust has caused a blockage, the pilot/heater will require maintenance.

Why is the wall control screen blank on my ducting heater and it won’t turn on?

The wall control may have batteries that have gone flat. They will require replacement.

Where can I find more information about gas heater safety?

I can smell something burning when l turn my heater on, is that normal?

Firstly, turn your heater off for safety. A burning smell on your heater is not normal and should be investigated before using again.

EVAPORATIVE COOLER

When should I get my evaporative cooler serviced?

It is recommended once every 1-2 years.

When I turn my evaporative cooler on it has a fishy smell.

The evaporative cooler may require servicing or the pads have come to the
end of their life.

My evaporative cooler is blowing warm air.

Check to see if the wall control is in fan only mode.

Yes, l am licenced through the Victorian Building Authority and insured.

What is the warranty on your work?

All work subject to a Compliance Certificate carriers insurance to protect owner/customer against defective work by the plumbing practitioner for 6 years. On all other labour work completed, we offer 30 days. Parts/components guaranteed at manufactures discretion, normally 12 months (conditions apply).
